The large number of foreign workers at the Jakarta -Bandung Fast Train Project, there are 558 Foreign Workers
Rakyat Press. Until now the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train construction project has absorbed a workforce of 1,946 people. Of the total workers, 558 are foreign workers (TKA)
This was revealed by Deputy Minister of BUMN Restructuring Aloysius Kiik Ro at a hearing (RDP) with the House of Representatives Commission VI today.
"In total the absorption of labor has reached 1,946 people, from there expatriates as many as 558 people," he said at the Parliament Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/12/2018).
Of the number of foreign workers in the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train project, the position is mostly as staff, engineers or workers who have expertise as many as 373 people. Then for the position of manager or Project Manager as many as 167 people.
The rest, 14 people occupy the position of General Manager, 3 Project Directors / Deputy Project Directors, and 1 translator. According to Aloy's data, there were no foreign workers occupying the lowest position of workers.
The TKA was all taken by Chinese companies who were members of the Indonesia-China Fast Train (KCIC) consortium. The Chinese companies that most brought TKA were Sinohydro with 388 people, China Railway Group Limited with 119 people.
While for local workers there are 1,388 people. Local workers fill the most unskilled labor positions or unskilled workers as many as 768 people.
While for the position of staff, engineers or workers who have expertise as many as 547 people. Then the position of manager or Project Manager is 38 people, translator is 32 people, General Manager 2 people and Project Director / Deputy Project Director as many as 1 person.
