Sandiaga Uno Talks About Infrastructure Without Debt: Cipali Toll Does Not Use APBN

Suara Id. Vice President number 02 Sandiaga Uno spoke again about building infrastructure without debt. According to him, this is very possible.

Sandiaga said that the development of infrastructure without debt was also nothing new. Previously, a number of infrastructure in Indonesia were also built without using the state budget.

"I once helped build the infrastructure of the 116 km Cipali Toll Road, did not use state money and burdened the debt for the state and BUMN," said Sandiaga in a written statement on Tuesday (11/12/2018).

The key, he said, is to involve the business community and the private sector. That is what he will do if he is elected in 2019.

"In addition to pure private funds, the government can also encourage the strengthening of partnerships between the government and the private sector in the PPP (public private partnership) scheme. PPP or PPP schemes have a legal basis, but currently they have not been maximized. Infrastructure projects with PPP schemes it has not been optimized so that many are late to be decided, "said Sandiaga.

"This scheme is usually funded by availability payment or concession systems. To ensure good governance, good governance, this scheme can also be done in a solicited or unsolicited pattern," he continued.

Sandiaga built the infrastructure without debt, it was delivered on Saturday (12/8). Sandi said, if elected later, he would build infrastructure using an approach other than debt.

"Pak Prabowo and I want our infrastructure to build. We also build other economic aspects and that infrastructure does not need to burden our nation's debt," Sandiaga said on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Petukangan, South Jakarta, Saturday (12/8).
